Obituary for Jane Jeffers

Jane Jeffers
Jane Jeffers, 85, of Chambersburg passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born November 23, 1932 in West Orange, NJ, the daughter of the late Charles Elmer and Agnes Marie (Devlin) Schneider. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Falling Spring. Jane worked as an office manager in an Orthodontics office for a number of years where she very much enjoyed helping people. Her love of people was a passion that was manifest throughout her life. She volunteered at two churches while she was in Florida, helped with the local food pantry here in Chambersburg, loved to socialize with people in the community, making everyone feel special. Her family was first and foremost in her priority list and she spent many enjoyable hours with her grandchildren playing board games and cards. She enjoyed traveling and square dancing with her husband, “Poppy”, playing golf as a member of the Ladies “Nine Holers” golfing group, bridge and reading. She is survived by her four daughters: Gail Meyer (Michael Paul), Jan Good (Tom), Lorelei Wenner, Vicki Jeffers; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and a brother, James Schneider. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Poppy” Jeffers and her brother, Charles E. Schneider, Jr. Arrangements are incomplete.
