Mrs. Heidi M. Houser, 62, of Frederick, Maryland, went to be with the Lord, peacefully, after a brief illness, on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at home, with her husband by her side.
Born on August 21, 1955, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer L. Miller, who died January 25, 2004, and the late B. Marie Kling Miller, who died April 9, 2015.
She married her life partner, Thomas J. Houser, on March 16, 1974, with whom she recently celebrated their 44th Wedding Anniversary.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Chambersburg.
She was a 1973 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School.
Over the course of many years, she worked in the mortgage company business, before retiring in 2011.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, during special events, such as the holidays, family reunions, get-togethers, birthday parties, and so much more. She loved the time she spent with her friends having lunch or dinner, attending concerts and shows, day outings, or trekking through Colorfest. The most important times were those that she spent with Tom, including dates to the movies, annual trips to Las Vegas, the trip to Hoover Dam and travelling into California and Arizona, trips to the beach was a must, travelling the States and the world, attending craft shows that dad loved so much, concerts and shows, and all of the other places that she liked to visit and Tom may have enjoyed, too. Last, but not least, the highlight of her life was her granddaughter, Brooke, for whom she walked the earth for. If they were not off at Chuck E. Cheese, taking selfies, going to the mall, going to the movies, carnivals, to lunch or dinner, the pool, the pumpkin patch, especially, and the list goes on, Heidi was at the soccer field, the band concerts, Girl Scout events, and all the other events that Brooke wanted her to be there for. When they were not together, they were speaking on the phone or messaging through Facebook, even beyond the hours of Brooke’s bedtime or during other hours of the day, such as the school day.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Alina M. Marshall, and husband, Jerry, and one very special granddaughter, Brooke M. Marshall, all of Hagerstown, MD.
