Obituary for Alda Fuller

Alda Maye (Shearer) Fuller was born Jan. 21, 1939 in Fort Loudon, the daughter of the late Oscar W. and Vernal E. (Byers) Shearer. She married Samuel Fuller Sr. on Jan. 23, 1957. He passed away on June 4, 2014. Alda was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Surviving are three sons, Samuel (Teresa) Fuller Jr., Gregory (Teresa) Fuller Sr., James (Ruth) Fuller Sr.; three daughters, Theresa (Jerry) Love, Denice (Steve) Urquhart, Barbara (Ed) Bietsch; 26 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a great grandchild. She enjoyed bird watching and spending time with her family. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. During Alda's last four months of fighting cancer, she was well tended by her caregiver and angel, her daughter, Barb. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Sat., Nov. 4, 2017 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with Fr. Luis Rodriguez officiating. A visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Stenger Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg PA,
